Your Guide to Eloping in Las Vegas

Wow! COVID-19 sure is changing the way couples do weddings in 2020. What’s different? Couples are falling in love with the idea of following their inner spirit and ditching the traditional “big” wedding and instead eloping in Las Vegas. COVID restrictions and limited guest lists have couples planning and flocking to Vegas to have chic intimate elopements. We absolutely adore this idea because not only do you get to stay true to what your free-spirited hearts desire, but you get to save money and have one heck of a good time! So, how do you plan an elopement in Las Vegas? Here is an easy guide to eloping in Las Vegas.

Whether you want to say “I Do” in a cute white chapel with Elvis, on the strip under all the twinkling lights or venture a little further out for an adventurous elopement with a desert backdrop, Las Vegas is the best place to elope in 2020 and 2021.

Here is Your Step-By-Step Guide to Eloping in Las Vegas.

Set The Date

Once you have decided that an elopement Las Vegas is for you, the first thing you have to do is set the date. We suggest that you review the seasons in Las Vegas so that you can be aware of what type of weather to expect for the date you choose. Nevada and Las Vegas do have mild and enjoyable temperatures in the winter, but the summer months can be brutal. Make sure you take a look at the weather trends and select a month that you both can truly enjoy.

Set The Budget

Yes! Even though eloping in Las Vegas is much more affordable than a big, traditional wedding you still have to set a budget. Talk with your partner about all of the things that are important to you that you want to include in your Las Vegas elopement so that you don’t have any unexpected expenses. If your elopement is just the two of you, your budget mainly needs to cover the basic wedding necessities such as officiant, location, photographer.

But don’t forget that there are other expenses that should be included in the budget. These items include airfare, accommodations, dress, tux, or whatever wedding day fashion you want for your special day and any activities you want to enjoy.

Hire Your Vendors

In Las Vegas, there are tons of venues, photographers, videographers, florists, hair and makeup vendors and the Modsy review has a good one for hair extensions, etc. They are considered the wedding capital of the world so there is no shortage of wedding vendors to choose from. Check out their websites, reviews, portfolios, and of course, prices and then contact them to see if your personalities click. You want to find vendors that will help your day be magical and fit your own personalities and styles.

Here are a few wedding vendors that you can start with. All offer wonderful services and are talented beyond words.

Photography – “The Emerics”. If you believe that champagne is not just for special events, The Emerics are your photographers! The Ultimate Guide to Eloping in Las Vegas

Guest List

Elopements in Las Vegas are generally small, and intimate events but they don’t have to be. It is your day and you should plan it your way. Talk to your partner and decide if you want to do it alone or have some of your closest family or friends there. Las Vegas is an amazing city that is filled with fun and excitement. You can truly turn your elopement into a “wedding experience” or keep it intimate.

The Legal Stuff

Las Vegas makes it very easy to tie the knot. No blood test is needed to obtain a marriage license and they don’t have a waiting period like many other states. All you have to do is be at least 18 years old, bring a valid ID (driver’s license or passport), and buy the marriage license.

Many wedding chapels are open 24 hours a day and you can have everything done all in one place, at any time. A one and done type of service which is great for couples that just want something quick and simple so that they can enjoy each other in a fabulous city of lights.

Seems pretty easy right? Elopement planning in Las Vegas is a breeze, all you need is love to get started on your happily ever after with or without Elvis. Viva Las Vegas and congratulations on your engagement!

Three Las Vegas Wedding Tips For Venues

Wedding Party Size

  1. Look at how many people you’re planning to invite to your wedding versus the number of people the venue can comfortably cater for. A crowded reception can be quite uncomfortable and if a venue is too large, it can affect the atmosphere and the overall look and feel. Put an initial guest list together before you start venue shopping so that you can make a better decision, as for the decoration, there are great options like a teal table runner which is perfect for the decoration of any wedding.

What about drinks?

2.Alcohol and drinks are a big part of your wedding so it’s important to find out whether you can bring your own alcohol and what the costs are or if the venue will supply the drinks. Since you will also need a licensed bartender to serve alcohol, find out whether the venue can assist with this so that you can factor those costs into your final budget. You may want to visit this helpful site just so that you can have an idea for your budget.

Preferred Vendors

3.You’re going to be working with several different vendors in the time leading up to and on your wedding day. Many venues require you to use their vendors so find out about this before you make a booking. If they do work with specific vendors, make sure that you’re happy with their experience, style, personality, and pricing. When a venue works with preferred vendors, it does mean they’re confident in their experience and ability to delivery but it’s more important for you to choose vendors that fit in with your budget and overall preferences.

Why does the bride cost more? | Las Vegas Wedding Makeup Artist

With weddings being costly, Las Vegas wedding makeup artist, Brianna Michelle breaks down the cost of what goes into your cost of a wedding hair and makeup session.

You Get What You Pay For

We have all heard that term, right? Well instead of just taking someone’s word for it, I am here to break it down for you from a business perspective.

First and foremost, the bride service is always more than the rest of her wedding party because we do spend way more time with the bride! Those extra dollars help go into all the online consultations and time we spend emailing back and forth to ensure her day runs smooth. In addition, there are business licensing fees, beauty uniforms for all employees, makeup products, brush cleaners, continued education, phone bills, office supplies, gas, and administration fees. There is, also, the time of packing and cleaning brushes after a days work and emailing back and forth to make sure you wedding day runs smooth. These aren’t even all the expenses it takes to run a business, but you get the point, as you need to think in the employees payments too, but for these you can use a software like paystub to make everything easier. There is also a consultant that evaluates business and leadership ideas, from you can take classes.

These additional costs are factored into every bridal appointment. It is industry standard to spend way more time on the bride on her wedding day. Make sure your artist is spending more time with you to make sure you are happy with the overall look. I mean it is “your special day!” You don’t want cheap makeup, and makeup isn’t cheap. Your wedding day is not something you want to get at the bargain price for $49.99.

Las Vegas Wedding Makeup Artist Tips

If your looking to gain a quality wedding hair and makeup artist, it is best to book early. That way, also you can have time to save for the wedding, so it doesn’t feel your forking out a tin of money all at once. I know some brides book a year and a half in advance for their wedding, so they do not feel the financial pressure. This will help you slowly be able to pay off your wedding vendors, and feel great about the good quality of people you have hired for the big day!

Hair and makeup is SUCH a personal process! If you tell me you want me to make you look natural, natural to me is different from your type of natural, so it’s always good to spend a little time, with you, getting to know your personal makeup style and how you wear makeup on a daily basis.

2. Large Groups Take Time
With any wedding party of 4 or more, we have to make sure your bridesmaids dont out shine the bride! We never book a large party without at least speaking to the bride on the phone, if possible, and finding out more information about the group. Do they all have long hair, are there any ethnicity needs? Do any of them have hair extensions? These are all factors to discuss with your artist beforehand so your group can be on a timely session.
